Grammar Rules: Usage of Was / Were

‘Was’ is used with **Singular** subjects: **I, He, She, It, This, That,** and any singular noun (e.g., The boy, The book).

‘Were’ is used with **Plural** subjects: **You, We, They, These, Those,** and any plural noun (e.g., The students, The tables).
